In Game 5 of the World Series, Diamondbacks’ ace Zac Gallen made postseason history by becoming the first ever pitcher to throw six no-hit innings during an elimination game.
However, despite this valiant effort, Gallen exited the game in the 7th inning with his team trailing 1-0.
To break the no-hitter, Corey Seager perfectly placed a ball off the knob of his bat into left field.
Then, following an Evan Carter double in the gap, Mitch Garver broke the tie with a groundball up the middle.
This ultimately led to Gallen being taken out of the game.
