The long slog of over 50 starting second basemen was the subject last week, and results were a bit mixed. Though at an average score of 38%, they were slightly up on the first-base number. Four men were recorded in over 90% of attempts, and you can probably guess who they were: in descending order, Ketel Marte, Aaron Hill, Orlando Hudson and Kelly Johnson. At the other end of the spectrum is poor Damion Easley, whose time at shortstop was remembered by just one person (and since it was last names only, we can’t even blame the pesky Damion/Damien thing!
