Wrist management: Diamondbacks' David Peralta feels 100 percent

David Peralta’s 2016 season with the Diamondbacks had so many different starts and stops to it, it nearly gave him whiplash.

After all the injuries he dealt with, it’s a wonder whiplash wasn’t one of them.

The outfielder played the first 33 games of the year but then missed the next 26 games with right wrist inflammation. He came back and appeared in eight games only to be slowed by a troublesome left middle finger and then a lower back strain that forced him to sit for 35 games.

Peralta rehabbed his way back and appeared in seven games, but then the wrist started acting up again and he missed the next 19 games until his season was shut down for good on Aug.
