There was no shortage of outrage from fans and players after Torey Lovullo’s name was left off the Manager of the Year finalist list.
However, while he did not finish inside the top three, Lovullo did receive four 1st place votes, five 2nd place votes, and seven 3rd place votes.
The final rankings unfolded as follows: Skip Schumaker (72 total), Craig Counsell (51 total), Brian Snitker (48 total), Torey Lovullo (42 total), and Dave Roberts (41 total).

Unfortunately, what likely prevented Lovullo from being named Manager of the Year for the second time in his career is the fact that the voters do not take the postseason into consideration.
