MILWAUKEE – The Diamondbacks are only midway through their 10-game road trip, but the reprieve from Chase Field has the makings to be a successful one for right fielder Yasmany Tomas.
After going 5-for-12 with two doubles and two home runs against the Reds over the weekend, Tomas carried a .298/.346/.616 line on the road into Tuesday’s game against the Brewers. At home, he sits .223/.261/.319.
Time on the road has flattered the entire team with 24 of the Diamondbacks’ first 41 victories coming as visitors, but the trend seems particularly true for Tomas – a disparity that hasn’t gone unnoticed.
