The clubhouse at Salt River Fields did not open until 7 a.m. on Saturday morning. Outfielder Tim Locastro said he was there at 6:30 a.m., waiting in his car in the parking lot.
Locastro returned on Saturday from an almost two-week absence after testing positive for COVID-19. He needed little time to get back to his usual tricks: He used his trademark speed to beat out an infield single in the first inning against the San Diego Padres at Peoria Sports Complex. He added another single in his other trip to the plate.
To say he was happy to be back would be an understatement.
