SAN FRANCISCO – Taylor Clarke’s first trip to the big leagues lasted all of one day. When he was called up the next time, he was with the Diamondbacks on the day he pitched and part of the next day.
“I’m going for three days this time,” Clarke said after throwing 6 1/3 innings on Saturday to earn his first big league win. “If I make it through a third, I’ll be feeling pretty good.”
Clarke remained on the roster, and though the club hasn’t made it official, he seems likely to remain in the Diamondbacks rotation, with his turn coming up next on Thursday afternoon at Coors Field.
