The Diamondbacks aren’t expecting to have fans in attendance this season, but that doesn’t mean empty seats will dominate the landscape at Chase Field.
Many sections will be covered with tarps featuring the logos of the Diamondbacks’ sponsors, a move the club said allows their partners to recoup some of the advertising exposure they are missing due to the circumstances.
“We are very grateful for the support of our partners as we know many of their businesses are also being challenged,” Diamondbacks CEO Derrick Hall said in a statement, “and we hope that adding visibility during these highly rated games will help during the recovery.
