SAN FRANCISCO – A day after hitting San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey on the head with a 94 mph fastball, Diamondbacks right-hander Taijuan Walker still feels awful about what happened – and about the fact that Posey landed on the 7-day concussion disabled list as a result.
During Monday’s game, Walker said he asked Giants catcher Nick Hundley to pass along his apologies to Posey.
“I know (pitching coach Mike Butcher) said he knows some of the coaches over there and they said they all know that it was an accident,” Walker said. “It was. It wasn’t on purpose.
