PHOENIX -- Evan Longoria's eighth-inning homer off the usually reliable Archie Bradley proved to be the difference as the D-backs fell, 3-2, to the Giants on Sunday afternoon at Chase Field.
The loss, combined with the Dodgers win over the Astros, puts the two teams in a tie for the top spot in the National League West.
The D-backs grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second when Steven Souza Jr. led off with a homer, his third of the season.
Arizona starter Robbie Ray pitched his way into and out of trouble through the first three innings as the Giants were unable to capitalize on some scoring opportunities.
