I’m feeling very optimistic that Rodriguez will improve from his first appearance as a Diamondback, eventually reaching an ERA near 3.30. I hope Montgomery improves over his July/August results (too many hits and walks per inning pitched (21 hits and 9 walks in 17.7 innings).
Sam: When we signed Montgomery, the common thought at the time is that we finally would have a fifth starter better than 2023 Nelson, who was not even good enough to make the playoff rotation over a bullpen game.
