For the second game in a row, the Diamondbacks started the game with a three-run first inning. This time, they made it hold up. Brandon Marsh and David Peralta started the action by drawing walks. Marsh then scored on a Ketel Marte single. Marte and Peralta then scored when Christian Walker doubled. Hooray for offense! The Diamondbacks managed one more run in the third on a solo shot by Ketel Marte. Alas, that was, once again, the last of the scoring to be done by Arizona. Once again, old friend, Héctor Rondón did a number on Arizona, providing two full innings of scoreless ball.
