Snake Bytes 8/28: Abused in New York

Arizona 3, New York (N) 8
Brandon Pfaadt had one of the worst outings of his career, allowing eight runs in under five innings, despite allowing only one (solo) home run. The Arizona offense was listless until a minor outburst in the seventh. Even the defense had a rough night, committing two errors which led to two of Pfaadt’s runs being unearned. The only real highlight was that Jordan Montgomery tossed 13 outs of scoreless ball to cover the needed long relief.

Montgomery Successfully Embraces New Role
For one game at least, Jordan Montgomery gave the Arizona Diamondbacks everything they could have asked for and more as the long man out of the bullpen.
