In an emergency start for the Colorado Rockies, virtual nobody Tim Melville stung the Diamondbacks offense leaving it mostly crippled for 7 innings. Melville allowed just 2 hits, 2 walks and gave up just 1 run, which happened to be a solo HR off the bat of Ketel Marte in the 6th. Melville, who was a cook at a bbq restaurant this time last season, struck out 4 D-backs before leaving the game on a high-horse in after the 7th.
Joel Payamps, formerly drafted by the Colorado Rockies, made his professional and D-backs debut last night in the 6th inning.
