Snake Bytes 7/8: Crushing the Enemy

Robbie Ray had a somewhat rough, inefficient outing, but it didn’t matter a lick. The Diamondbacks’ offense responded by supporting him with a franchise-record outburst, scoring 20 runs on 18 hits, including five home runs.

The Diamondbacks opened the game with five runs in the first inning and simply continued to pile on throughout the remainder of the game.

Paul Goldschmidt, Nick Ahmed, Ketel Marte, and Alex Avila (yes, that Alex Avila) were joined by recently reactivated Steven Souza, Jr. in hitting home runs on Saturday.
