The Diamondbacks managed to pull out a win on Tuesday night, doing so in front of the smallest attendance ever for Chase Field.
Zack Godley toughed out five innings of work in a spot-start for injured Zack Greinke. Despite Godley giving up four runs and Brad Ziegler surrendering his first home run of the season, the Diamondbacks’ offense was enough to carry the team to a rare home win. Rickie Weeks mashed a three-run home run, Michael Bourn had three hits, and newly-named All-star, Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
It would figure the team finally wins a home game when the stadium is emptier than it has ever been since opening in 1998.
