Alex Young had a third straight strong outing, limiting the Texas Rangers to one run on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 1⁄3 innings of work. THe Diamondbacks’ bats came alive in support of the young lefty, giving him a 1-0 lead before he ever took the mound and then piling the runs on in bunches later in the game.

Alex Young ran his hitless innings streak to 9 1⁄3 innings before he gave up a single to Danny Santana after walking Joey Gallo in the bottom of the second inning.
