[D’backs.com] Godley stung for seven-run frame vs. Giants - I remember getting called out after a round table during the first month of the season for saying that Zack Godley needed to get it together. He was missing the zone more often and hitters were swinging at his pitches out of the zone less often. Godley was spiking curveballs in the dirt 5 feet in front of home plate and falling completely off the mound after his delivery, but I was assured everything was cool because he wasn’t giving up a ton of runs. While his command has improved slightly since that assertion, he has given up at least 4 earned runs in 6 of his starts this season.
