It was a bit of a mixed bag for Robbie Ray on Friday. The lefty once again limited his walks and pitched more efficiently. He committed a throwing error in the third inning that eventually resulted in allowing a three-spot in the fram. He was then locked in and entered the sixth inning with only 74 pitches thrown. He then allowed solo home runs to two Nationals in the frame which put the game out of reach before handing the ball over to Matt Andriese who had another outing to forget. Nick Ahmed and Carson Keely each contributed solo home runs in failed attempts to rally the Diamondbacks.
