Shelby Miller started shaky but then settled in to give the Diamondbacks 5 2/3 innings of work. The Yankees' pitchers were able to keep the Diamondbacks' bats quiet though, surrendering only two hits on the night.
Hale Continues Trusting in Miller
Shelby Miller's early season has been nothing short of a train wreck. With his last two outings, it seemed Miller might finally be turning things around. Maybe this is why Chip Hale allowed Miller to stay in the game Wednesday night to face the left-handed Jacoby Ellsbury, despite Ellsbury's success on the night and the fact that Andrew Chafin was up and ready.
