Snake Bytes 5/12: Nolan Does Arenado Things

The Diamondbacks cam back from a six-run deficit to tie the game at seven, only to have Nolan Arenado go deep against Tyler Clippard in the eighth inning to secure Colorado an 8-7 victory, denying the Diamondbacks a second consecutive sweep.

Robbie Ray had a rough outing, but Arizona’s bats finally came to life after he left the game in the fifth inning. A solo-hot by Nolan Arenado off of Tyler Clippard in the eighth inning wound up being the difference in the game.

AP Recap

Robbie Ray’s outing on Wednesday was not a good one at all, despite a career-high nine strikeouts in under five innings.
