Bumgarner, meanwhile, tossed a complete-game victory in the second game of a seven-inning doubleheader against Atlanta without allowing a single hit. The D-backs lefty struck out seven in the game. Bumgarner’s performance came after Zac Gallen pitched a one-hitter in the first game of the doubleheader. The D-backs became the first team to ever allow one total hit or fewer in a doubleheader, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
