Robbie Ray surrendered four runs in the fifth inning before coming back out and pitching a strong sixth. The Diamondbacks responded with four runs of their own in the seventh. Then, Christian Walker came to bat in the ninth with the score tied at six. Walker collected his third hit of the night by crushing a home run to center field off of Braves closer A.J. Minter to break the tie and put the Diamondbacks ahead for good.
He started the season as Jake Lamb’s platoon mate at first base.
