There’s something poetic about the timing of this series. Just two days ago the Diamondbacks were embarrassed 19-2 in front of a crowd of 33,919, setting a record for futility along the way (believe it or not, position players don’t usually find themselves pitching in the 4th inning!). That game’s starter was, perhaps unsurprisingly, a certain Shelby Miller.
