The Diamondbacks head to our nation’s capitol this week for a three game set whose importance might be difficult to overstate. The Nationals currently hold the third Wild Card position and are a mere half game ahead of the Diamondbacks. They are on quite the roll, as well, having gone 8-2 in their last ten games. That includes taking three out of four from the Braves who, while they are stumbling without Acuna, are still very much the Braves. In addition to those wins, they also took care of business against the struggling Tigers and Marlins, going 5-1 in those two series.
