Santana's leadoff HR sets tone as Phils' bats erupt

PHOENIX -- For the second straight start, Robbie Ray looked a lot like the 2017 version of himself, and that's a really good thing for the D-backs.

Ray struck out 10 over 6 1/3 innings as the D-backs took the finale of the two-game series against the Padres with a 6-0 win on Tuesday night at Chase Field.

The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the D-backs, who remained 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Rockies in the National League West.

Ray combined with relievers Brad Ziegler, Archie Bradley and Yoshihisa Hirano to allow only three hits.
