San Diego got to him early on an RBI double from Eric Hosmer. Greinke was unable to go past the 5th inning due to an elevated pitch count. He allowed 6 hits, 3 walks, 2 earned runs, and 5 strikeouts.
A.J. Pollock was having a great day at the plate with two loud singles in his first two plate appearances. The second base hit drove in a pair of runs to put Arizona in the lead, but it would come to an end there.
