The Diamondbacks planned to cap right-hander Rubby De La Rosa at around 60 pitches Wednesday, only his second start since returning from three-plus months on the disabled list with elbow problems.
But De La Rosa didn’t reach that limit.
Actually, he didn’t even pitch as many innings as he did his last time out.
And now it’s unclear if he’ll make another start this season.
“We’re going to look at his health,” manager Chip Hale said. “He didn’t seem to have the same kind of stuff coming out. Again, the command was not good. We’ll see.
