The Dbacks dropped a back and forth battle in the opening game of the series against the first place Dodgers. This game for me had nostalgia to last season. Not just because Thomas was finally back in CF, Gabi was back behind the plate, or because Torey used an opener, but because the Dbacks were generating plenty of chaos all over the field.
As mentioned, Torey made the decision to go with Mantiply to open this game and he faced just 3 batters getting 2 of them out before Torey brought in Ryne Nelson to take over. Fortunately we got the good version of Nelson tonight.
