John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports initially Tweeted that the Diamondbacks are “closing in on Starling Marte” in a deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jeff Passan just followed up with confirmation that a swap had been completed:
Outfielder Starling Marte has been traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources tell ESPN.

There’s no word at this point as to what the cost of the team’s second Marte would be. But if the trade is completed, he will presumably take over from the first Marte, allowing Ketel to move back to second-base.
