Report: Former Diamondbacks broadcaster in physical altercation with television partner

The Detroit Tigers switched up their television broadcast team in the middle of a series against the White Sox in Chicago on Wednesday and we are starting to find out why.

On Tuesday, Mario Impemba and Rod Allen, the Tigers' regular broadcast team, called the game.

On Wednesday, however, they were replaced in the booth by Matt Shepard and former Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson.

Why the switch in the middle of the series?

The Athletic reported that there was a physical incident between Impemba and Allen after Tuesday's game and that Shepard and Gibson were brought in at "the last minute.
