The news that Zack Godley would be designated for assignment meant there was going to be a move made before the start of the Phillies series. However, it turns out he wasn’t the only one losing his spot on the 25-man roster. For the six-man rotation briefly used by the D-backs is apparently no more, with Taylor Clarke having been optioned back down to Reno. In his place are two new names to Arizona: one, a prospect making his major-league debut, the other a man with parts of three major-league seasons of experience under his belt as a member of the Boston Red Sox.
