As expected, Yasmany Tomas is back with the Diamondbacks, though he is not present in today’s startling line-up. The specific moves were more or less as predicted. Luke Weaver gets moved to the 60-day IL to open a spot on the 40-man roster, and Taylor Clarke goes on the paternity leave list, after the birth of his first child, to make room on the 25-man roster. However, Clarke will need to be back in just a few days, and it will be interesting to see how the team handles things. We will, of course, be pressing up against the trade deadline by that point, so it’s possible things could have shaken down and some roster spots opened - especially if this series doesn’t go the Diamondbacks’ way.
