Pollock leaves game with broken elbow

PHOENIX -- D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock was removed from Friday night's exhibition game in the third inning after it appeared he reinjured his right elbow while sliding headfirst into home plate.

No update on Pollock's condition has yet been made available.

Pollock was on third when David Peralta hit a grounder to second base. Omar Infante threw home to try and get Pollock, who slid headfirst, touched home plate with his left hand and then grabbed his right elbow area in pain.

Pollock had been battling an elbow issue all spring.
