LOS ANGELES -- The D-backs' A.J. Pollock celebrated his National League Player of the Week Award in style, hitting a home run in his first at-bat Tuesday night against the Dodgers.
Pollock's latest honor was announced Monday, but he was traveling to Los Angeles with his team on an off-day. The downtime did nothing to alter his approach at the plate.
Coming to bat against Dodgers starter Rich Hill, Pollock crushed his 11th home run of the season into the seats in left-center field.
