A.J. Pollock’s activities are still limited, but the Diamondbacks center fielder remains hopeful he’ll be able to return to action despite the groin strain he suffered more than a week ago.
Pollock has been working on an AlterG – a treadmill that lightens the user’s body weight, limiting the workload – though he has yet to begin running on flat ground, manager Chip Hale said.
Hale said it appears the soonest Pollock could return to action is when the club is in Washington from Sept. 26-29, the second-to-last series of the year.
Pollock suffered the injury while running from first to second on Sept.
