The Cardinals succeeded in putting a dent the Cubs Back to the Future-fueled hopes yesterday, holding them to just three hits. But they'll be facing a unique challenge this afternoon, as Hendricks becomes the first starting pitcher in the century-plus history of the post-season to bat eighth. That's kinda cool, but I sincerely doubt it will have much impact on the outcome, especially if the Cubs offense is as flat as yesterday. This is probably close to a must-win game for the Cubs, as they've never won a playoff series in team history after dropping the first two contests.
