The Padres face the Dodgers in Los Angeles, in a win-or-go-home context. I think the last time there was such a decisive battle between two evil entities was probably Stalingrad in 1942. :) But tonight will be noteworthy for another reason, being the first playoff game in baseball history where both sides start a Japanese-born pitcher. Based on performances so far in this series, I suspect San Diego will be more confident in Yu Darvish, who allowed one run across seven innings, that Los Angeles are in Yoshinobu Yamamoto, after he gave up five runs in three frames. It’s going be exciting and equally nerve-wracking for both sets of fans.
