The team took Adrian Del Castillo fairly high in the 2021 draft at 67th overall after the catcher put up big offensive numbers as a freshman at Miami. Going into the 2021 draft, Adrian Del Castillo was actually ranked as having a 60 hit tool by Jonathan Mayo in the draft previews. Right up there next to Jordan Lawlar, Marcelo Mayer, and Matt Mclain. At still only 24 years old, Del Castillo is off to a phenomenal start to the season scorching his 4th home run of the season last night halfway up the light tower in Tacoma on a rainy cold night.
