Peralta exits after beaning by Fernandez

PHOENIX -- D-backs left fielder David Peralta left Wednesday's game against the Marlins after getting hit in the head by a pitch in the sixth inning.

With the Marlins leading, 5-2, Peralta took a pitch to the side of his helmet from Marlins starter Jose Fernandez. The D-backs outfielder was face down in the batter's box for several minutes while being attended to by head athletic trainer Ken Crenshaw.

Peralta got up on his own power and walked off the field, but A.J. Pollock entered as a pinch-runner at first base.
