Undoubtedly, the bar for umpires in the baseball world has been raised significantly in recent years. Whether it be automated software that tracks every pitch, for social media allowing fans to pounce as soon as a pitch does not go their teams way, umpires have it rough.
However, it was evident that Dan Iassogna had a challenging night officiating Game 3 of the NLCS.
During the regular season, Iassogna was ranked 79th out of 92 umpires in terms of correct calls as the home plate umpire.
This trend has now continued into the postseason.
