The Diamondbacks have yet to decide what’s next for Rubby De La Rosa after the right-hander felt uncomfortable following his start Wednesday – only his second appearance since a lengthy stint on the disabled stint with elbow problems.
But De La Rosa can’t envision himself pitching again this season if he doesn’t sense improvement.
“It just depends on how I feel,” he said Thursday. “If I feel better, then maybe yes. If I feel the same thing, no. No chance.”
De La Rosa left Wednesday’s start after facing only one batter in the second. He was tagged for one run off two hits while walking two and striking out two for a total of 45 pitches.
