Moore: It's not just Arizona – hitters seem to be slumping across MLB. What gives?

You think Paul Goldschmidt has been slumping? Well, he has, but he’s not alone. (Also, he’s going to be fine.)

Nobody in Arizona seems to be able to hit.

Look around the Diamondbacks' clubhouse and see that aside from Goldy’s 2-for-25 skid, entering Thursday, Alex Avila, Steven Souza Jr., Jarrod Dyson, Deven Marrero, Ketel Marte and Nick Ahmed were a combined 12 for their last 103 (.117).

(Christian Walker is just 2 for 15 this year, but he’s not included in the above list because one of those two hits was a 479-foot home run.
