The Diamondbacks once again have a hefty slew of players eligible for arbitration this winter. MLB Trade Rumors lists 14 Arizona men (though some may miss out, depending on when the Super Two cutoff falls), trailing only the Athletics and Brewers in the majors, each of whom have 15. That means a fair degree of uncertainty for Mike Hazen and the front-office, because they won’t be able to pin definitive salaries on all players, possibly until arbitration hearings in February next year. However, it’s also possible the team and players come to an agreement, which can happen at any time during the process, before or after exchanging arbitration figures, or right up until the start of the hearing.
