One full-season affiliate has now seen their season come to an end, as Hillsboro concluded their Northwest League season last night with a 3-1 victory at Tri-City. Visalia also ended their regular season, but they are in the California League playoffs for the first time in the post-pandemic era, and will open their series against Lake Elsinore tomorrow night.
But it’s more than just the end of the season for some affiliates. It’s also the end of the road for some players. Some players have played their last game in the Diamondbacks’ organization. Some of them will catch on elsewhere, either with the affiliate of another team or in independent ball.
