Diamondbacks affiliates won three out of the six games played, with the Arizona League Dbacks and the two Dominican Summer League teams had a scheduled day off.
A solid start by Neftali Feliz and great hitting were tossed to the way side as Reno’s bullpen turned a 5-2 lead after the bottom of the fifth into a 12-6 deficit going into the bottom of the ninth. The Aces made a valiant effort, and scored three runs, but the six run lead by the Royals was just too much. Ildemaro Vargas was 3-5 at the plate, as was Rey Fuentes, who was 3-5 with a triple.
