Amarillo and Hillsboro should have both played a doubleheader, but Hillsboro’s makeup game was postpone due to rain a second time. This was a real slugfest of a game with thirty three hits combined between the two teams, with six homeruns, five doubles, and a triple. Josh VanMeter, Drew Ellis, and Camden Duzenack hit homers for Reno, and the River Cats had three players hit home runs as well. Reno was down five runs before they even took an at-bat, so it’s almost impressive that they nearly came back to win this one.
