Starting on the mound for Arizona was Ryne Nelson, who is currently fighting for a spot in the Diamondbacks rotation. Nelson made a solid impression today with one run allowed through five innings.
Seattle’s lone run off Nelson came courtesy of a Brock Rodden solo homer in the 5th.
In the bottom of the 6th, the Diamondbacks jumped out to a 3-1 lead. Ketel Marte pitched in with a 406-foot bomb.
