It is more than safe to say that the four-time All Star and three-time World Series champion Madison Bumgarner is no longer the same pitcher taking the mound anymore.
After a miserable outing against the Marlins on Friday, Bumgarner’s record with the Diamondbacks has fallen to a less than ideal 15-31.
Through three starts this season, Bumgarner has not gone longer than five innings and has a 7.90 ERA.
While the 33-year-old still has one more year left on his contract before retirement, it is unsure if the Diamondbacks can afford to have him on the roster.
