For the Diamondbacks, the process of moving on from a horrific road trip began on Monday night at Chase Field with a familiar opponent across from them: The Miami Marlins, the same team that handed them the first three losses in what grew into a six-game losing streak.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo seemed to welcome the opportunity for his club to get another crack at the Marlins so soon after being swept.
“I feel like it’s an immediate response to losing three games,” Lovullo said. “I want to see what our team looks like. Hopefully, they’ve got a little chip on their shoulder.
